Online would be the problem when they enter sites unsupervised. They could meet indecent people who could care less on what they show or say to children.

lets face it, people who kill or just initiate in violence and blame a videogame they previously played are merely mentaly instable. remember the columbia school shooting? the two gunmen(who were students) acused the game they played at the place hung out at and that they used it to “train”, the truth is the press invented this story for views and they hid the fact that they had a criminal record, mental instabilities and friends that gave them guns beforehand.this is just media bullshit.

It’s not the video games that are the problem, it’s the parenting!!

Well ACTUALLY, its the parents fault for buying the child the rated M games since you DO need your parents if your under 18. So that’s not the childs… but not ALL kids are influenced by violent video games! I’m 14 years old and I’m not planning on killing someone ANYTIME soon and I play battlefield 3, call of duty, dead space, resident evil, skyrim, etc. So it depends on the person playing it.. not the game. Thnx if you agree :)

Video game stores should ban the rated m games from kids that are 17 and under!that’s what they should do!

I heard a report of a kid who played a video game with violent shooting and graphics, then he got up an ate some cereal. You know, that’s kind of weird how he doesn’t suddenly get a craving to shoot people, because parents ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO LET THEIR KID GO INTO THE POSSESSION OF GUNS IN THE FIRST PLACE! Damn. By the way, there’s a reason why their’s a rating system on a video game box.

I also heard that violent video games don’t make violent behavior happen from Penn and Teller. They showed a 12 year old kid who constantly played violent shooting games and when he shot a real gun not only was he way off the mark but he was crying after he shot it.

Man I see people like chimneyswift asking for 11,000 likes on a video and you’re asking for 50-100. It doesn’t make me feel bad for you exactly but you’re a funny guy and you deserve better. Sometimes I just want to jump through my computer screen and give you a hug.

I actually did a report on this subject for english. Violent video games do not make kids go out a shoot people. Studies that say they’ve proven this are all inconclusive. Most studies show the arousal of violent behavior but the viewer/player does not actually act on it. The Virginia Tech incident was said to have been cause by an avid video game player but in reality the shooter had years of mental problems.

really what i think. is that its more of an excuse to get kids to stop playing games as much.
