People are working on a Mod to skyrim that will simulate Midgar, It will even have the main storry in it. Altho, it ain’t a big team so it takes time. It’s gonna be massive. Alot bigger than skyrim. Altho, i doubt there will be the same amount of quests.

You nailed it. That’s all i wanted too, vicariously playing through the story and sort of “watching” gandalf as if i were watching a play being acted out. That’s the game i had been waiting for since the movies came out, not another runescape or world of warcraft.
5 months late on the reply, but i got a new computer and played mount and blade warband demo, i loved it, i loved customising your character and leading your own armies, its wicked, however i feel like its slightly too expensive for what it provides i know the graphics are not fantasic, but i will wait for it drop in price, i love the gameplay, i might get it soon. Thanks for recommending that game to me!
(cont’ War in the North game)The game isn’t perfect, but it is the only BEST NEXT GEN LORD OF THE RINGS game I’ve played so far. You can even explore different famous movie locations, such as the Bree (where frodo met Aragorn for the first time, but you’ll interact with him eventually). Even Rivendell, where you meet Gandalf. Great game and keeping it as it isn’t a half-assed effort compared to THIS one.
Get War In The North instead man. The gameplay doesn’t feel like paper and eventhough you only have 3 heroes, they have a purpose to the story. You play as a Ranger, or Mage, or a Dwarf (both feel different in their abilities). It is the first Rated-M lord of the rings game I ever played in a long run. It is in no way as easily repetitive as this crappy version. Plus it does not stress you out on how dumb the A.I.s are (they can hold on their own in decent situation at best).
