    When i load the emulator, i don’t get the screen on the right with the keyboard controls on the right. I am running 3.2. I only get one black screen with the Android word on it. Why?

    I don’t know if you figured this out or not yet but when you go to select target you need to have your sdks installed. you can do this by going to eclipse and selecting
    windows sdk manager.

    @androidprek everytime I create a new project I get this this message when I’m done “java.lang.NullPointerException” I googled and asked people, they said somethings missing, I still can’t figure out what’s missing, do you have any ideas?

    I made a tutorial about this fix. Long story short, install HTC sync and it will install the drivers for your phone.

    i develop on windows too, basically you can develop for any platform on any OS, apart for iphone development (and even for iphone it can be done). Developers often prefer Linux systems, but its for more advanced users (if you want to use it well, because using the GUI isnt very hard to do ^^ ). If you know windows, use windows, then you’ll maybe switch to linux when you’ll think it is worth a bit of time to learn it well
